Duties/Responsibilities:
- Key Duty: Assist in the underwriting and management of credit to qualified borrowers for various purposes on assorted terms:
- Obtains and analyzes all necessary and financial data, checks credit standing within established limits and policy.
- Conducts loan functions in accordance to loan policies and procedures.
- Manages the renewal process for existing loan relationships
- Communicates final deal structure, pricing, terms and conditions to client and lending team maintaining integrity of formal loan approval.
- Collaboratively works with lending support in all pre- and post-closing activities, including conditions precedent to closing are accurate and complete and in the booking and maintenance of the relationship on the loan system.
- Attends necessary closings.
- Responsible for managing all financial and collateral exceptions within the assigned portfolio.
- Manage past due status of all loans in the portfolio, communicating with the borrower when necessary, and accountable for reporting on past due status to Credit Administration.
- Serves as the liaison between the commercial customer and the other areas of the bank in resolving customer problems and meeting the customer’s needs
- Follows loans to ensure conformity with terms and keeping collateral value up to date.
- Expands customer relationships by proactively reviewing customer needs and investigates any significant changes in status of existing relationships.
- Identifies key customer relationships and proactively reviews and meets with these customers to build relationships.
- Monitor, review and ensure compliance on loan covenants, borrowing base certificates, and other loan documentation and requirements within the bank.
- Conducts annual reviews, and any other periodic reviews as necessary, of loans within the portfolio, in accordance with loan policy.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant lending requirements, laws, regulations, internal and external policies.
- Provide customer service support to the customers within the banking center as needed as part of the region and market team environment.
- Actively promotes and refers business to other areas of the bank.
- Represents the bank and provides leadership in key community activities.
- Complies with all bank and personnel policies and procedures including but not limited to policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Complete periodic training provided and/or required by PFB including but not limited to BSA training within required time frames assigned.
- Special Projects and Other Duties as assigned.
Job Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance, accounting preferred.
- Minimum 5 years financial experience required.
- Completion of lending banking school preferred.
Job Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of bank products, services, policies, and operational procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of consumer and commercial lending laws and regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of all areas of loan origination, processing, underwriting, and closing.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage loan portfolio.
- Requires contact with the general public.
- Excellent written and oral skills.
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability.
