This June, Planters First Bank is proud to spotlight Brooks Auto Parts, a family-owned business with a legacy of serving South Georgia for nearly 90 years.

Brooks Auto Parts opened its first location in McRae, Georgia, in 1937, becoming a NAPA Jobber the following year. Originally founded by brothers William, Stanley, and Elton Brooks, the business continued to grow, opening its second location in Douglas in March 1941. The Fitzgerald store, known as Store #7, opened in May 1949, followed by the Ocilla store, Store #23, in 1962.

Today, Brooks Auto Parts operates 26 locations throughout Georgia, with its headquarters in Douglas, and remains family-owned under the leadership of Elton Brooks III, grandson of founder Elton Brooks. Whether you're a professional mechanic or tackling a weekend project, Brooks Auto Parts is committed to providing quality auto parts, knowledgeable service, and the hometown customer care that has kept generations of customers coming back.
